Encourage0grams in June
This month of June as we embark on the summer season. I am committed to sharing a few thoughts each day from the book of Proverbs.

it is June 1 and many of us in the John clan have committed to reading one chapter of Proverbs each day this month. How many other families would like to join us? No need to sign up just talk to Jesus and decide.

Reading today in Proverbs 1, I am impressed by the fact that this "wisdom" book is for everyone. It is for the naïve and the wise; for the young and the old. It is written to give us strength in character as well as improved conduct.

Proverbs 1:3-5 for acquiring... a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair; giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young--let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance.

All wisdom flows out of a worshipful heart and life! This is the theme of the book!

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

Finally, I am blessed to see that wisdom is available and publicly cries out for us to listen and follow her advice!

Proverbs 1:20-21 Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public squares; at the head of the noisy streets she cries out, in the gateways of the city she makes her speech:

Enjoy the journey today as you follow wisdom and embrace her many blessings.  I look forward to sharing some more thoughts with you tomorrow.
