FAQ / What to Expect

Frequently Asked Questions:

What should I wear?
Glad you asked. As a church, we're the number one place to come for fashion advice! Just kidding. Feel free to dress up, or come wearing jeans, a T-shirt, and flip-flops. We have people come who wear varying styles of clothes, and they all fit in just fine.

Do I need to bring anything?
Feel free to come as you are. If you have a Bible, bring it. If not, don't worry about it. However, with the current situation involving COVID-19, we do ask that you bring (and wear) a mask while indoors.

How early do I need to get to church?
We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before service begins. That gives you plenty of time to get checked in, seated, and prepared for when we begin.

What should I do with my children?
Bring them with you! We firmly believe that worshipping together as a family is essential to helping our children become life-long followers of Jesus.

We also have amazing programs for your children available at both services that focus on communicating the truth of the gospel to even the youngest participants.

What kind of people come to your church?
This is one of the most exciting things about our church. We have a broad range of ages, from young families (we have a thriving Children's Ministries!) all the way up to those approaching the golden years. No matter where you are in life, you will be able to find friends within your life stage. But you'll also be blessed by the fact that we are like a family, young and old celebrating together!
We also have a wide range of ethnicities — you can find Indian, Caucasian, African-American, Latino, Asian, and mixed families throughout our congregation. Our members range from business owners and executives to the unemployed.
Motivated by Revelation 5 — that Jesus died so every tribe, tongue, people, and language would worship our heavenly Father — we celebrate having a congregation with diverse backgrounds gathered together around a common Person, Jesus Christ, with an aim to know Him and make Him known.

What if I haven't been to church in a long time?
You're just the person we're looking for! The purpose of our church is to help people learn more about God, whether they've grown up in the church or have never stepped foot in one. No matter how many tattoos you have, how young or old you are, or how many Bible stories you know, or what you've been through in the past, we want you to feel welcome.
As Pastor Rick says, we are not a church for perfect people. We're all going through different things in our lives, and we're just trying to figure out who we are, who God is, and why we're here. Might as well do it together!

What is your music like?
We are a contemporary church using contemporary Christian worship music. On a normal Sunday, you might hear us sing something from Hillsong or Elevation Worship. We also like to draw music from the past, so you might hear an old hymn done in a fresh way.

What else happens on Sundays besides the main service?
In more "normal" times, you would find Adult Bible Fellowships meeting during service as adults and families dig deep into the Scripture together. Or you would hear children singing and asking questions in our Children's Ministry. You might even catch a glimpse of our teenagers being equipped to follow Jesus. With the restrictions in place due to COVID-19, we have the following available:
  • 9:00am - Worship, Adult Bible Fellowship, Youth, Nursery (through 2 years old), and Children's Programs (through 5th grade)
  • 10:30am - Worship, Nursery (through 2 years old), and Children's Programs (through 5th grade)
