Latest Update from the Team

June 8, 2020

Hey there, family!

We've got some great news for you - this week we're starting back with in-person youth gatherings on Wednesday nights! Beginning June 10, 6:30-8:00pm at FCC and continuing as the Lord allows.

With the weather being so nice, we'll be meeting outside, so bring those lawn chairs, blankets, sunscreen, and anything else you might need. Also, we are requesting everyone wear masks in order to love our neighbors.

I know that there are some families who aren't comfortable with in-person stuff quite yet. For youth that can't be here, we will still have an online meeting at the same time (meeting ID and password sent via text).

Additionally, we are going to be introducing Home Community Groups once a month. The 4th week of June and July, our usual Community Groups will meet in homes. Our tentative schedule:

  • Tuesday (6/23 & 7/21), 6:30-8pm - MS Boys & MS Girls
  • Wednesday (6/24 & 7/22), 6:30-8pm - HS Boys
  • Thursday (6/25 & 7/23), 6:30-8pm - HS Girls

Why make this change? The primary reason is to get our ministry familiar with meeting in homes in smaller groups. We already break out on Wednesdays for Community Groups; this simply changes the location. This way, in the event of a second wave or another stay-at-home order, we don't have to stop all in-person gatherings.

If God has taught me anything this season, it's to hold things loosely and keep first things first. We'll continually evaluate the wisdom and safety of meeting in person, and when we gather we will get our eyes firmly on Jesus. Looking forward to opening the Word and drawing closer to Christ with you. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me - dcarter@fcchurch.org/303.928.7103.

May 18, 2020

Only one video this week, friends, as we take a look and figure out how best to encourage you in your walk with Christ. If these regular devotions have been helpful to you - teaching you how to make time with Jesus, reminding you to spend time in the Word, or helping you understand God’s word - would you let me know?

Until then, let’s finish James’ letter and talk about helping those who wander.

Another day, another opportunity for us to make some time to be with Jesus! We do a little of that together today as we read James' summary of his letter. Endure, brother! Be patient! Grow into maturity!

ABOUT US

Romans 11:18
"Consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you."

Eleven:18 is Fellowship Community Church's ministry to youth ages 11 through 18 and their families. We're here to help youth and their parents/guardians share life together so that we all might be transformed by the power of Jesus.

HOW TO CONNECT

Wednesdays

@6:00 p.m.

Every Wednesday night, we get together to eat, play, and dig into the Bible together as a group of friends and fellow truth-seekers.

Sundays

@9:00 a.m.

We believe youth benefit from being a part of the church, so we encourage our 11 through 18 year olds to sit with parents, guardians, or youth leaders and worship together with the whole church at 9:00 a.m.

@ 10:30 a.m.

Following the first service, our youth meet together in the Youth Room at 10:30 a.m. to sing together, catch up from the week, and then break into smaller groups to dig into the big story God is telling through his Word.
