LIFE STORY

I grew up in east Texas as one of sixteen children, served four years in the USMC, then pursued an Engineering degree, which led me to a twenty-seven-year career in the high-tech industry. After retirement in 2018, I started a home remodel business. I’ve been married to my lovely wife Jennifer for forty-two years and we are blessed with three wonderful daughters and seven grandchildren.

Jennifer and I have attended Fellowship Community Church for over thirty years, where I currently serve as Chairman of the FCC Elder Board. I am pursuing biblical studies through The Urban Ministry Institute (TUMI) and have a passion for sharing the gospel and writing true stories of God’s restoration from abuse and trauma, which led me to author a book titled Breaking Free, which chronicles a child’s journey to adulthood overcoming abuse and finding a path to restoration and freedom through the work of Christ within me. I have two life verses that govern my life through Christ in this world. Lamentations 3:22-23 “It is because of the LORD’S loving-kindnesses that we are not consumed, Because His tender compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness.” and 1 Peter 2:9-10 “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may declare the goodness of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 10 In times past, you were not a people, but now you are the people of God. You had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”
