LIFE STORY

I was born in Minneapolis, MN and raised in Dayton, OH. My faith journey began when I was 15 years old, thanks to the family of a school friend. While I began attending church and reading my bible at this time, I didn’t make a decision to make Jesus Lord of my life until I was 20 years old, a junior at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. This began my personal journey of learning daily surrender of my will and desires to God. I continue to learn each day how to experience Jesus throughout my walk through life.

My wife Nancy and I were married in 1989 and have two adult children (David and Cathy) and two grandchildren. We have been attending Fellowship Community Church since 2000. I currently work as a college professor in the College of Arts & Media at the University of Colorado Denver. I also am active as a musician in the Denver area.

I serve on the Worship Team and have also served in Children’s Ministries, as well as being a Small Group Leader. I believe God can and has used me to share my journey of faith, both victories and struggles to help others who might have similar challenges. To this I pray to be useful daily, knowing that others have helped me in similar ways.

I consider 1Thess 5:16-18 my life verse: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

HOPE FOR FELLOWSHIP

My hope and prayer for FCC is that we constantly remember who we are…the body of Christ. That we remember the importance of meeting together. That we consider, not what our church can do for us, but what we can do for our church. That we share all of God’s providence with our community. And finally, that we experience God’s presence, individually and collectively each day, throughout our day…and that we share this with those we encounter today.
