Today is often referred to as Silent Saturday during Holy Week. A time to pause and remember the moments of suspense between the death of Jesus and His resurrection. As we also wait in anticipation, let’s finish examining the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of Jesus on earth.
The resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ reveals the work of the Holy Spirit.
1 Peter 3:18 NIV
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.
Romans 8:11 NIV
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
Our hope of a future resurrection is dependent on the miraculous power of the Holy Spirit! Rejoice today that every believer will be resurrected with a glorious, immortal body like the Lord Jesus lives in today. Glorified, human flesh sits on the Throne of Heaven! (See Hebrews 1:1-3.)
I encourage you to spend an hour today praying and resting in the presence of our almighty God.
We are eagerly awaiting tomorrow when we will worship and celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, our Living Hope! Live in expectant hope that you too will be resurrected one day! Sunday is coming…
