WHY DO WE DO THAT?
WHY DO WE GATHER AS A CHURCH?
The word Jesus used for church was “ekklesia” which means “gathering.” By nature, the church is a group of people Christ has gathered together who, through their love and unity, reveal the manifold glory of God to a watching world (Eph. 3:10). It’s when we gather together that we get to fulfill the “one another” commands (like Jn. 13:34-35). It's when we gather together that those God has given the church to teach and lead can equip us for the work of ministry Jesus calls us to (Eph. 4:11-12). It’s when we gather together that we are reminded Jesus is Lord, the gospel is real, and we receive the encouragement we need to follow Jesus while we are scattered back to homes, schools, and workplaces (Heb. 10:24-25). The fact of the matter is I need you and you need me if we want to follow Jesus. I need to see you singing when I don’t want to sing. You need to hear me talk about my experiences with Jesus when you are struggling to feel Christ’s love. And so we gather together as the church to be the church.

MISSIONS MOMENT | Vlad & Ines Panainte
Please be praying for our FCC missionaries. These next two weeks we want to focus on Vlad & Ines Panainte in Madrid, Spain planting international churches with International Christian Community (ICC). Here are ways you can be praying:
- Pray for a new location for the church. Pray for a large rental space
- Pray for the new membership classes and those attending
- Pray for the guests and unbelievers attending the International Church

School Year Blessing | Sun., Aug. 16 , 9a & 10:30a
Next Sunday, our Children's Ministry will make time to pray a blessing for the school year over our kids! At the start of both service hours, the kids and teachers will meet together, be prayed for, and receive a small token to remind them of Jesus' presence this school year. Please have your child join us! We also invite you to pray for our kids over the next few weeks.

Elder Recommendations for 2027
The Elders request your help as we start looking to 2027. If you know of a man who is currently a formal partner of FCC, already "elder-ing" (shepherding, making disciples, caring for the people of FCC), and meets the qualifications of an elder found in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1, would you recommend him to the current Elders? Operation Christmas Child | July & August Collection
It's School Supplies in July and August! Sales will pop up for school necessities: pencils, pens, erasers, pencil sharpeners, crayons, coloring markers, paper, scissors, and more. These are necessary items for a child to attend school in some areas. Always remember: the gospel goes forth with each and every box we send! Thank you for your generosity!

The Lord has set in motion a desire to pray on Sunday mornings during first service. The Prayer Room door is open for anyone to engage in prayer and pursue the presence of God with others.

Are you interested in inviting children and their families to share LIFE together so they might be transformed by the power of Jesus? Do you know someone who is? Fellowship is in search of a Children's Ministry Director to do just that. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule.
