WORSHIP AT THE TABLE
All Sufficient Merit
WHY DO WE DO THAT?
WHY DO WE TAKE COMMUNION?
Communion, “The Lord’s Supper,” is a tradition given to the church by Jesus Christ which calls us to remember his death on the cross until he returns again. It is a unique and beautiful way of preaching the gospel through symbols - the broken bread symbolizes his body, the cup symbolizes his shed blood - just as Jesus described it at the Last Supper. Reserved for believers and intended to be done regularly until Christ returns, we take Communion on the first Sunday of each month and on other special occasions. In doing so, we preach the gospel to ourselves and to one another. All confessing believers in Jesus are invited to participate in the Lord’s Table with us, but God’s Word cautions us against taking Communion lightly. We are told to examine ourselves before we eat the bread and drink the cup - then we can celebrate our salvation in Christ with joy!
Passages to read:

Please join us in supporting them through prayer as they support international churches and communicate the need around the world to churches here in the States. Here's how you can be praying for them:
- Please pray that God would call pastoral and ministry staff for international churches in Europe, from the US but also other English-speaking countries.
- Please pray that God would heal division within the church board of one of the international churches in France.
- Please pray for the French-ministry team in Paris and for the 3 new couples just arriving, as they adjust and learn culture and language.Thank you for covering them in prayer!
