Before Jesus died, rose again, and ascended to the right hand of the Father, He promised He wouldn’t leave us alone, but would provide a Helper, an Advocate (John 14:15-19). The Holy Spirit is the subject of this sermon series. As a church, we confess the following about the Holy Spirit:
We believe that the Holy Spirit, in all that He does, glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of its guilt. He regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God. He also indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service.
Much of what we hope for one another, for our communities, and for the world as regards partnership is dependent on the work of the Holy Spirit. Our prayer is to grow in dependence on the work of the Spirit and invite Him to move in the lives of those around us.
