2025 By-Law Review & Revisions

Ensuring what we say is what we do.

It's that time again! Every five years, our Elders take a look at our By-laws to ensure what we say (in the By-laws) and what we do line up. In 2020 with a vote in 2021, the partnership approved several minor revisions. As we looked at the By-laws in 2025, a more thorough revision was proposed.

The revisions were presented to the congregation in late October 2025. According to our By-laws, amendments (changes) require three months of review before they can be affirmed, requiring a Special Business Meeting. Our Elders want to be sure every partner is heard regarding these revisions, so we will hold additional Town Halls on February 15 and March 1 in Room 2/3 to receive questions and help you have the information you need to affirm the revisions with confidence.

We value your prayers in this season. Our Elders believe that the proposed changes bring greater clarity and definition to who we are as a local church and how we are operating/how we want to operate. Below, you can find the 2021 By-laws with all changes along with the 2025 By-laws with the small edits that have been made based on feedback from the congregation since November's Town Hall meetings.

Thank you for being a part of this amazing community and for taking seriously our responsibility to be congregationally-governed.

If you have questions about the revisions or would like more information, please feel free to email specialbusinessmeeting@fcchurch.org or contact David Carter at 303.928.7102.
