We conclude our memory verses this month with Ephesians 3:20-21. Surely, we believe that our God is able!

Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Here, we find a comprehensive list of affirmations about God:

  1. He is active, doing work constantly, and never grows tired or weary
  2. He answers our prayers (See Hebrews 11:6)
  3. He cares about our thoughts and imagination (See 2 Corinthians 10:4-5)
  4. He can do all of this
  5. He does do immeasurably MORE than all this

When God glorifies Himself, we are blessed! We will be exalted in heaven and on the earth. Since this is true, let us pray that we will remain faithful, available, and teachable to God. Yes, our desire should be to closely follow our Lord!

As we get to enjoy partnership with the Triune God, with His people, and in gospel work, it is our big ask of God that He would save! Save our family, our friends, our co-workers, our classmates! Please don’t stop praying for your 5 Favs and ask God to do a mighty work of salvation in our communities. Pray and ask the Spirit to convict the world of sin, draw people to Jesus (maybe even through us), and bring them into His family. Be praying, even now, that when we hold our special baptism service in July of 2026, we might see just how big our God really is.

Celebrate today the truth that our God is the Able One!
