Stop Complaining!

Dear Fellow Followers of Our Good Shepherd,

We have reached the fifth attitude Philip Keller wisely gives us as we allow the Lord to “guide us into paths of righteousness.” Psalm 23:3.

5) “Instead of finding fault with life and always asking ‘Why?’, I am willing to accept every circumstance of life with an attitude of gratitude.”

This attitude reflects our trust in the Shepherd who providentially watches over our lives. Can I really trust Him to meet my needs? Do I honestly give thanks in all circumstances? This attitude is in direct conflict with the common attitude of entitlement. It is so revolutionary in our narcissistic culture. If we stop to give thanks to God for all the blessings He gives us, we would be much more content. We trust in Him and His holy assessment of life rather than our own. Too often we are frustrated by present circumstances when we do not yet know the future blessing, He is preparing for us!

Today, I call us all to stop complaining! To do everything without grumbling! Our Good Shepherd has wonderful plans to bless his own sheep. Praise Him even when you are in a storm. He may be walking to you on the water!

Be encouraged,

Pastor Rick
