WHY DO WE GIVE AN OFFERING?
As Christians, we recognize that God is the author of all things, the Creator of all things, and the owner of all things (Ps. 24:1). Anything we have, we have because God has entrusted it to us as stewards. The owner of everything, God, wants us to manage what He gives us (time, talent, and treasure) in a way that will honor and glorify Him. One of the ways we do that is by offering our first and our best (our “tithe”) to God to further Kingdom work. And so, we give to the church so that families can be cared for, mission work can be supported, and the gospel can go forth in our community.
But we also give as an act of worship. When we cheerfully and sacrificially give, we express our dependence upon God to provide and our desire for his Kingdom to come. We consecrate ourselves, our livelihoods, to the Lord so that we might think as He thinks, know what He knows, and live as He tells us to live.

COMING UP AT FELLOWSHIP
MISSIONS MOMENT | Brandon & Angie Johnson
You are invited to pray for our FCC missionaries. These next two weeks we want to lift up Angie & Brandon Johnson with Youth for Christ in the Mediterranean. Here is how you can be praying for them:
- Pray that Angie's chemo would prevent reoccurrence of the breast cancer she had. Praise there are only 2 sessions left. Pray for her to finish strong!
- Pray for Brandon as he leads the international Young Leader Advisory Board. Pray as they meet next year God will use them to bring new ideas for the leadership of YFC and that the experience will be a blessing for the young leaders participating.
- Pray for Angie as she leads the planning team for YFC's International Conference next year in Kenya. Pray for the team to plan well and for a great time together for the YFC workers all over the world.
Thank you for covering the Johnsons in prayer!
Mirabal Memorial | Sat., Dec. 20, 2p | Sanct.
A celebration of the life of Marilyn Mirabal. All are invited to join the family for this celebration here at Fellowship.
Giving Tree
Do you know an FCC family that could use a little help this holiday season? Nominate them for our annual Giving Tree where families receive gift cards to help make Christmas special. Nominate families at fcchurch.org/givingtree or email deaconministry@fcchurch.org.
The Giving Tree is set up in the foyer with “ornaments.” You can take an ornament and then purchase a $10, $20, or $30 gift card(s) at Walmart, Target, or King Soopers. Please indicate the amount of the gift card(s) and return the card(s) back to the church. Drop the gift card(s) in the secured box located by the Giving Tree, no later than December 14th. Thank you for blessing another family this Christmas!
Christmas Eve Candlelight Services | Wed., Dec. 24, 4p & 5:30p | Sanct.
Invite your family, friends, & neighbors to worship with us this Christmas Eve at one of our two family-oriented, candlelight services. Pick up postcard invites at the Connection Center! To our partners and participants, please consider attending the 5:30p service to ensure space for guests & groups.
New Partners - Your Feedback Requested
We have a new family seeking partnership with FCC! Caroline Chadima has been interviewed by our Elders, and they heartily recommend her for partnership. In accordance with our by-laws, our elders ask that if you know of any Scriptural reason this person should not be received into partnership to please let them know. Speak to an elder or email elders@fcchurch.org with feedback. Thank you for making our partnership significant!
Reminder about Year-End Giving
As 2025 draws to a close, don’t forget if you would like to make a gift of appreciated stock, mutual fund shares, or a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA (including Required Minimum Distributions), those types of gifts must be completed by December 31 to count for 2025. These gifts can provide significant tax advantages while supporting the ministry of our church. Please consult your financial advisor for specifics. Thank you for your generous partnership in the Gospel!
