WHY DO WE GIVE AN OFFERING?
As Christians, we recognize that God is the author of all things, the Creator of all things, and the owner of all things (Ps. 24:1). Anything we have, we have because God has entrusted it to us as stewards. As the owner of everything, God wants us to manage what He gives us (time, talent, and treasure) in a way that will honor and glorify Him. One of the ways we do that is by offering our first and our best (our “tithe”) to God to further Kingdom work. And so, we give to the church so that families can be cared for, mission work can be supported, and the gospel can go forth in our community.
But we also give as an act of worship. When we cheerfully and sacrificially give, we express our dependence upon God to provide and our desire for his Kingdom to come. We consecrate
ourselves, our livelihoods, to the Lord so that we might think as He thinks, know what He knows, and live as He tells us to live.

MISSIONS MOMENT | Frank and Connie Porter
Please join us in the important work of praying for our FCC missionaries. These next two weeks we want to focus on Frank and Connie Porter in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, who serve with Child Evangelism Fellowship. Here are some ways you can be praying:
- Pray for health and recovery for both Connie and Frank as they have both recently had pretty bad falls
- Pray for many Christmas Party Clubs to be scheduled throughout southwest Colorado; that churches (and individuals) would be willing to share with children the real meaning of Christmas
- Praise God for the Good News Club and Kid’s Kare programs that are reaching kids each week
- Ask God to raise up a La Plata County Coordinator and a Southwest Chapter Director

Unite in prayer for half-an-hour (or more) on Tuesdays. We are excited to launch this weekly opportunity to bond with brothers and sisters in Christ in the presence of the Lord through prayer.
