WHAT IS “PARTNERSHIP”?

Philippians 1:4-5
"In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your PARTNERSHIP in the gospel from the first day until now…"

The word "partnership" is a powerful Greek word, koinonia. It communicates deep sharing, intimacy, & participation; a close association between persons; each one having part in the other. It is amazing who a Christian has koinoniawith: God the Father (I John 1:3, 2 Peter 1:4), God the Son (Romans 11:17, 1 Cor. 1:9), God the Holy Spirit (Philippians 2:1, 2 Cor. 13:14), one another as the church (1 John 1:7, Acts 2:42), and we have koinonia in gospel work (Philippians 1:5).

Koinonia is most often translated "fellowship." Unfortunately, in our day, the word has lost most of its power; "fellowship" tends to mean merely eating a meal together. We want to reclaim the deep and active participation of koinonia, so we are homing in on this word "partnership" in this season of ministry!

MISSIONS MOMENT | Connie Porter

Please join us in the important work of praying for our FCC missionaries. These next two weeks we want to focus on Connie Porter in Pagosa Springs, Colorado serving with Child Evangelism Fellowship. Here are ways you can be praying:

  • Pray for emotional and physical strength for Connie as she grieves the loss of her husband, Frank.
  • Pray for Connie’s 2026 ministry of Zoom teacher training seminars. Go to Coloradocef.org/training to see the schedule beginning in February.
  • Pray for the ministries to children in Archuleta County. Pray specifically for the ministry of Junior Youth Challenge (JYC) in the middle school.

Thank you for praying for our missionaries and their team!

Alternatives Baby Bottle Banks

At FCC, we believe humans are created in God’s image and, therefore, every stage of life is precious and valuable. We are partnering with Alternatives Pregnancy Center to help Denver-area women experiencing unintended or challenging pregnancies. Pick up an Alternatives Baby Bottle Bank in the Lobby; fill it with spare change, cash, or a check; and pray as a family for the teens, women, men, and preborn children served daily at Alternatives. Return the bank to the Connection Center by Feb. 8. Alternatively, you can CLICK HERE to donate. For more info, contact Kellee (303-522-8154).

Pantry Express | Sun., Feb. 1 | Kitchen

To support those in need of extra help in our community, please bring non-perishable, non-expired food items on Feb. 1st. Today, pick up a shopping list at the Connection Center. Food items will only be collected on Feb. 1st.
