WHY DO WE CELEBRATE EASTER?
It is on Easter, or Resurrection Sunday, that the church celebrates the central, event that defines our faith - the death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. As Paul says in I Corinthians 15, “And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins... If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.”
But, in fact, Christ HAS been raised from the dead; an actual, historical event proven by the historical evidence. Because Jesus lives, we have immense hope and assurance that sin & death have been conquered, and we have been brought to eternal life in our Savior!
Though today is a special celebration of the resurrection, we actually celebrate the resurrection and our living Jesus every Sunday when we gather and remind each other of God’s beautiful gospel. We need that regular reminder to follow fast our risen Lord each and every day. So, see you next Sunday!

MISSIONS MOMENT | Jim & Kathy Carlson
Join us in praying for our missionaries each week. Jim & Kathy are two of our long-term missionaries with ReachGlobal, the missionary arm of EFCA. They support international churches and communicate the need around the world to churches here in the States. Here's how you can be praying for them:
- Praise for an effective and joyful 4+ week ministry trip serving two international churches in southern France. Jim preached in both churches and we met with individuals, Bible study groups, etc. Pray for their Ukrainian and Iranian church members, who are struggling with the suffering of their families & friends left behind in their home countries. Pray for a smooth leadership transition for one church establishing a new board.
- Pray for Jim as he has back surgery in early May.
- Pray for Kathy as she spends 8 days in Paris in late April coaching the Paris City team members to take over some responsibilities by end of 2026.
- Pray for our planning of fall ministry opportunities & praise God for providing the financial support to continue our retirement ministry.

In accordance with our by-laws, our Elders ask that if you know of any Scriptural reason these people should not be received into membership to please let them know.
